How children play with it
The child runs their fingers through corn flour on the lit surface, creating dark lines against the coloured light. Sometimes sweeping with a hand, sometimes puffing through a tube, sometimes painting with a brush – oral motor skills and fine motor skills are developed. With colour-change programmes, play becomes soothing; with fixed colours, it becomes a concentration exercise. Therapists use the tray specifically for relaxation.
