How children play with them

Children sort by shape, by colour, by number of corners. Two squares and four triangles become a house, a hexagon becomes a honeycomb. The coconut shell gives the hand an unfamiliar texture, fibrous and warm. In craft projects, children glue the shapes to cardboard — geometric learning with natural materials.
