How children play with it
Friday’s sports day arrives, and overnight the educators have painted the wooden discs — now the medals hang proudly around little necks. Later at home, children create their own awards for their little brother, the dog, their best mate. Pride, belief in what they can do, and proper heartfelt recognition, all wrapped up in a piece of wood.
