How children play with it
The funnel sits on top, the red sand bottle tips slowly, red sand cascades between the acrylic panes and creates a dune. Yellow sand comes next, then blue, then purple – layered sand pictures like a geology timeline. Children watch the sand flow, turn the frame, the picture shifts and changes. Buckwheat, rice, coloured salt work just as well – materials are play.
