A plywood lantern that children design themselves. Paint it, stick tissue paper on, piece it together. On St Martin’s Day, their own creation glows through the evening.

How children play with it

Paint the plywood pieces with watercolours, stick red and yellow tissue paper over the openings. Once dry, slot the pieces together and pop the LED tea light inside. During the St Martin’s procession, the homemade lantern swings from a stick, light dancing across the house wall. A gift made by their own hands.
