Giant Sand Timer 5 mins red

Giant sand timer, 5 minutes in red — the large sand timer that makes time visible. Can I have five more minutes? Here they pass visibly, with coloured sand, right before the children’s eyes. Time markings on top and bottom, perfect for screen breaks, teeth brushing or concentration practice.

At a glance

• Duration: 5 minutes
• Colour: Red
• Material: Plastic, glass
• Dimensions: Diameter 15.5 cm, 30 cm high
• Time markings on top and bottom
• From age 3

How children use it

The timer is flipped and the red sand begins to fall. Children watch as the upper chamber empties grain by grain. Abstract minutes become visible grains flowing downward. During reading, drawing or teeth-cleaning time, time becomes something real and tangible that doesn’t need explaining — the sand decides.
