How children play with it
Children take off their shoes and carefully place one foot on a tree log. Beneath their soles, they feel the growth rings or flower petals – a completely different sensation from smooth ground. Step by step, they continue to balance, arms out to the sides, finding their equilibrium. Their concentration shifts to their feet.
