How Children Play with It

A child arranges the models in a row: egg, larva, pupa, adult insect. She traces the development with her finger, feels the change in shape. The static picture from the book becomes a living understanding. The hand touches the egg, then the adult – from tiny becomes large, from soft becomes hard.
