How children play with it
A child places a pencil in a hole of the small gear and slowly guides the gear along the large outer gear. The pencil tip traces a line that intertwines with each rotation — a precise spiral pattern appears. Different holes create different patterns. Mathematics, geometry and art meet on an A4 sheet.
