How children play with them
Place paper over the crocodile scales and rub with a crayon, and scales magically appear on the paper. Children feel the fine textures under their fingertips, compare tiger stripes with zebra patterns, press the plate into soft clay and a relief print remains behind. Sensory experience meets natural history knowledge.
