Rotating Mount for Round Fascination Mats

Rotating mount for round fascination mats: pressure, rotation and tilt come together. Mobile for table or floor use, or alternatively wall-mounted.

At a Glance

• Birch plywood, metal, nylon rubber cord: a stable combination of materials.
• Metal pins hold the fascination mat: securely fixed during rotation.
• Tilted plate: liquid flows automatically.
• Pressure with hands or feet possible: sensory play for the whole body.
• Mobile for table or floor: or permanently wall-mounted.
• Wall mounting: 4 screws required.

How Children Play with It

The mat is placed on, gently pressed, slowly rotated. The liquid inside the mat leaves its traces, colours flow and blend, new patterns emerge. A child pressing with their foot experiences different pressure than with their hand. The rotating mount makes the material accessible to younger children because the mat stays still while the base moves beneath it.
