How children play with it

With the stand, the trough sits at hip height. Children stand upright, lean forward, and stir through wet sand with whole arms. Water splashes over hands, dark earth forms into hills between fingers. Four children fit around the trough, talk about their experiments, swap shovels and containers. The upright posture protects little backs and allows for longer, more engaged play.
