How Children Play with It

Children pull the locomotive through the sandpit and watch tyre tracks appear alongside railway lines. They combine hedgehog spines, fish scales and car treads into patterned designs. On the Light Bucket, light shimmers through the fine grooves – sand becomes canvas, light becomes paintbrush.
