How Children Play with Them
Today the simple figure becomes Mum, tomorrow a hedgehog, the day after a fairy-tale hero. Children assign characteristics, create voices, arrange the figures into families. When paintbrush and paint come out, they get faces, clothes and hair. The open nature of the material lets imagination run wild.
