Step by step
- Place the Whally Board in a safe, padded spot in the group room
- Distribute the soft hedgehog balls and Twiggly Toss within the children's reach
- Let children take turns balancing, grasping and throwing under supervision
- Make sure there is enough space between children at the station
- Store the material visibly and within easy reach after use
Safety first
- Use the Whally Board only under direct supervision and on a soft surface
- Soft hedgehog balls suitable under EN 71 for children from age 1, check regularly for firm seams
- Do not let children throw the Twiggly Toss towards other children
Variations
- Add the balance wheel from the movement course for slightly older toddlers
- Additionally secure the corner with soft mats
