Step by step

  1. Place the Whally Board in a safe, padded spot in the group room
  2. Distribute the soft hedgehog balls and Twiggly Toss within the children's reach
  3. Let children take turns balancing, grasping and throwing under supervision
  4. Make sure there is enough space between children at the station
  5. Store the material visibly and within easy reach after use

Safety first

  • Use the Whally Board only under direct supervision and on a soft surface
  • Soft hedgehog balls suitable under EN 71 for children from age 1, check regularly for firm seams
  • Do not let children throw the Twiggly Toss towards other children

Variations

  • Add the balance wheel from the movement course for slightly older toddlers
  • Additionally secure the corner with soft mats

Our tips

  • Institutions can order on invoice, ideal for equipping new toddler groups from scratch
  • Short, regular movement sessions support motor skills better than rare, long ones

Frequently asked questions

It suits children from around age 1 who can already stand securely, always under supervision.

How many children can play at the station at once?

For the toddler room we recommend 2-3 children at a time so there is enough supervision and space.
