How children play with it
During circle time, children discuss which month it is, and one child gets to turn the number dice to the right date. They place small stones, acorns or tea lights in the indentations. Each new month, the decoration moves on, and the year becomes visible. So emerges a repeating ritual and a growing understanding of time and the seasons.
