Step by step
- Set out the letter beads sorted alphabetically in a box
- Have the child lay out their own name first, then thread it
- Place divider beads between individual words or names
- Read the result aloud together and name the letters
- Send the bead chain home as a little 'I can write my name' success piece
Safety first
- Knot or glue small parts securely; for use with under-3s, supervision only
- Check the material for wear before first use and regularly afterwards
- Not suitable for free play by children under 3, only guided and firmly joined use
